I must be missing something. Probably need to review the older "combo" concept. Tacking on b's in ways that mean thing is easy for single words, but becomes more difficult if you want to make complete sentences.
Here are the odd-looking results of my own twist on the game:

Thank you, CTD! However, we are NOT trying to make complete sentences.
The instructions, and 2 of the answers are examples of the way this type of 'COMBOS WORD PUZLE' is worked.
The beginning of each WORD is the letter "B". Then you simply attach two of the words in the left column to this "B", thereby making the ONE LONGER WORD BEGIN WITH A "B".
I have already given two of the answers. Here are two more. If you don't enjoy it, as I always say, do something else.
1) [b] BAREFOOT 2) BOXCAR 3) BONFIRE 4) BEACHHEAD You are to take "TWO" of the short words on the left, and then add them to the letter "B" , which will begin a longer word. Thank you for your time, CTD. Perhaps Bex was correct, you may not wish to work Word Puzzles. I find them to be very mind stimulating. There are NOW, only 12 WORDS to complete. Aw nothing like that. I just took it as a challenge to come up with sentences that are still sentences when you add 'b' to the front of each word.
Example:
Ears led.
Bears bled.
See?
It's pretty tricky because the vocabulary is severely restricted.

This is really funny.... 
I don't understand why this is so difficult to complete.
However, I DO KNOW it is different from our previous ones, that did NOT call for the word to begin with a "B"- (letter).
So, here are two more.....maybe it will get you moving, as you cross off the smaller words used.
5) BRICKLAYER
6) BANTAM
I think what is causing the lack of understanding, is that the words are NOT DIVIDED at the REAL syllables, when pronounced.
This too shall pass.
So, we await somebody to help out. There are NOW only 10 words to complete. As we wind this down, there can't be very many possibilities.
I wonder where our friend Denis is?? He is really good with Word Puzzles. In the meantime, I am having fun with the 'icons'. LOL! God Bless, Abishag <><
