Russ, what are your views on chelation of mercury after amalgam filling removal? I live in UK and it's virtually imposible to get treatment for this although you can buy oral DMSA and things like MSM and chlorella. Do saunas help?

I personally use and recommend Algin (herb) and Chlorella. I use them daily. I read read enough about strong chelating agents redistributing mercury to stay away from them. I personally tried DMPS. I'm not saying they don't work, just that there may be harmful side-effects, and that many get very sick using them. My business partner did. ( See the Story ) I also tried MSM and had to stop because I get very sick the next day. I went on and off it several times to convince myself that MSM was really the cause. In my studies I read that sulphur raises blood-mercury levels in the post-removal patient because of the way it allows mercury passage through cell walls. My symptoms returned terribly within 10 hours of taking MSM tables. I even get symptoms after eating eggs which are high in sulphur. I believe that slow and natural is the safest way to approach detoxification. It just has to be accepted by the detoxing patient that it will be a lifestyle for years to come. Algin works very well for me. I notice results within 60 minutes when I'm having recurring symptoms. A sauna is great for detox. I've read that mercury has little problem escaping via the skin while perspiring except that you may experience itchy patches afterward. I suppose it's better than letting it travel via the intestinal track. All the best!

Thanks Russ. What dose of chlorella should one take?
I have also tried MSM this week and it seems to make me jittery with strange fluttery feelings in my chest - I'm not sure if this is mercury starting to move around - but it hasn't made me feel ill as such.
Do you think DMSA is helpful?

Before determining I had Hg toxicity, I bought over $200 of MSM from a lymphologist who claims that Colloidal Silver and MSM are paramoint in cleansing the body and healing. I told him that I believed I could be Hg exposed, but he dismissed this fear and told me that the colloidal silver and MSM would help my symtoms. Well, my symptoms got worse. I told him this, and he stated that I was experiencing "die-off" (I also have sytemic candida infection). After reading Andrew Cutler's book, I found out that MSM could have re-circulated the Hg, which made me ill. This lymphologist will not accept returns on any of the supplements I bought from him. I don't want the MSM to go to waste. I have heard good things about MSM, but I know that while I still have amalgams in my mouth, I should avoid it. My question is this: Can I begin using MSM again if I wait several months after I have my amalgams removed as long as I add a mecury binder (like chorella)? I figure that if I use these two together, it may be a good way to remove excess Hg from my tissues (possibly a safer chelation route as opposed to DMSA or DMSP). Also, what have you heard regarding the safety of Colloidal Silver for individuals with Hg toxicity? Your expertise is appreciated.
