I can't be sure it is some type of re-toxification from the fillings, but I wanted to share my story and see if anyone can help. To cut to the chase:-

* I had 6 mercury fillings removed in June last year (8-9 months ago).
* I am early 30's male and have had them in my mouth for over 20 years.
* Had them out with a trained mercury free dentist who uses all the correct procedures as advised.
* Right now, my anxiety level is through the roof and it is crippling me

Childhood-
* Had fillings in at an early age
* Had allergies in an around that time which have stayed with me for years. Digestion not so good.
* Developed anxiety as a child and what I now realise is a type of agrophobia.
* Started off very confident as a little boy, then became a bit withdrawn throughout my life.
* Wasn't able to understand and handle social situations aswell as others.
* Diagnosed with ADD when 16
* eyes quite dark as a child I think after fillings put in.

Adult before fillings removed:-

* Confidence very up and down
* Low moods and feeling very despondent alot of the time
* Low on energy at work
* Cloudy in mind and hard to focus or listen in general


after fillings removed:-

* No detox done or any Vitamins taken whatsoever.
* Exhausted in first couple of weeks. Not sure if it was adrenaline from injections of release of mercury vapours
* Agoraphobic/panic attack much worse - got on a plane and nearly died of panic when the door was shut. this was about 1-2 months later
* Have been quite run down since Xmas.
* Had an argument with a friend over text. His mad texts had me wake up the next day with a panic attack. No logical reason for this, he is harmless but it has affected me very badly since. I am waking up daily feeling panicky and its just not normal.


I am of the opinion that 'maybe' my body is being re-toxified with mercury or I am having withdrawal symptoms 8 months later which is magnifying everything... I am just not sure. I have also noticed my legs are a bit weak. Im not sure if that is from being tired from the anxiety or if it is the mercury falling to my legs..

Would love some opinions here from people in the know/with experience themselves. thanks.

You aren't experiencing withdrawl from mercury because it is not like an addictive drug. But left to it's own devices, it will cause havoc in you body because it will not come out on it's own fast enough. In fact, and everybody differs on this in terms of timeline, a certain amount of months after your amalgams are removed, the body tissues start dumping the mercury. This is the ideal time to start on the DMSA. I did not have the knowledge when I had mine removed. So I was naive in thinking that the Mercury would come out on it's own and I would eventually, in a reasonable period of time, start feeling better and get my health back.

I found out the hard way that this is not the case because the mercury goes through a cycle of reuptake in the body. So while your body tissues are dumping it, it goes into your blood stream which is filtered through the liver. And the liver dumps it into the intestines which reobsorbs the mercury.
Essentially, it is being recycled in your body in perpetuity.

After I had mine removed, I did nothing for two years out of ignorance. In retrospect, I can see what was happening. One of the first symptoms I had was that I was getting trigger finger, because as my body tissues were expelling the mercury it was being reobsorbed by my connective tissues and tendons.

As cutler says, you have to get it out! and the only way to do that is to chelate. Making the decision to chelate was not one I took lightly. Even my family does not know about it because they think that it is dangerous. I often do it right under their noses without them having the slightest clue.

But if you do it properly and follow certain guidelines, it is perfectly safe. You just have to get up the courage to start. Good luck and welcome to the site!

What you are going through is expected. The group's members can offer you many good tips.
I am 8 years post removal. Doing much better but mercury can still rear its ugly head anytime.

Something that has just occured to me, is that up until the last couple of weeks, I had been doing exercise frequently. Football and running. I just haven't had time and now I have these symptoms.

Do you think there is any correlation between exercise and the dumping stage?

Exercise generally mobilizes mercury so you might be feeling the after effects of it. On the other hand, sweating is a good way to purge your body of toxic metals. Best to use a sauna.

i used to tell people that every time i'd start an exercise program my hair would start to shed... BADLY. they'd look at me like i was crazy and just using an excuse because i didn't want to exercise and was lazy. good to know that it wasn't all in my head and other people know about the exercise/mercury correlation.

Yes, several people have stated that using a sauna was the best for their situation of 'sweating' out the toxicity. And that exercise seems to cause worse side-effects.
