-7 Creation Miracles of Christ -By: Brad Forlow, Ph.D.
No star. No angels. No shepherds. No wise men. No mention of Bethlehem or Mary and Joseph. No compelling story of the babe in a manger. No genealogy of Jesus to introduce His birth. No elaborate “Christmas Story” describing the events preceding and surrounding the birth of Jesus.
John the Apostle does none of these things when he begins to tell the story of Jesus of Nazareth.
Instead, he pens a unique introduction to the words and works of Jesus that reaches back to eternity past, echoing the introductory phrase in Genesis—“In the beginning.” John establishes the nature and character of Jesus as he begins to unfold such familiar themes as life and light to describe the One who became flesh and lived among us.
Why are there four different gospels? How different are they? Do they contradict one another? Why did God inspire four accounts of Jesus’ story?
Although all four gospels record the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus, each is distinct, written from the author’s own perspective. Each author is writing to a specific audience for a specific purpose. From the pages of each gospel emerge a unique, but complementary, portrait of Jesus Christ. ----------
-The Seven Witnesses -[Jesus is The Christ] -By: David Woetzel, B.S.
"If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true" (John 5:31-32).
The book of John was written to demonstrate that Jesus is the Son of God. There are seven things referenced in John that bear witness to this wonderful truth. In our text the Lord recalls the law of Moses. Deuteronomy 19:15 states that "at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established."
The first witness of the divine nature of Christ is SecoJohn the Baptist, who said, "And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God" (John 1:34). Secondly, Christ Himself witnessed, "Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true" (8:14).Thirdly, the Father placed His stamp of approval on the claims of Christ (5:37) at the baptism and thereafter.
The Old Testament prophets' specific identification of the Messiah was the fourth witness. Christ challenged, "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me" (5:39).Then Christ claimed that His miracles validated His claims: "the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me" (10:25).
Sixthly, the Holy Spirit bore witness of the Savior (15:26). Lastly, believers all over the world whose lives are transformed bear witness to the authenticity of the gospel message and the supernatural power of Jesus Christ. "And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning" (15:27).
By giving far more than the requisite two or three witnesses, John concludes, "these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God" (20:31). --ICR/DW

--JESUS: The Resurrection and the Life~~ --[In the Grip of Grace/ Max Lucado]
--"He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)" (Ephesians 2:4-5). God's solution is not to preserve the dead--but to raise the dead. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
What Jesus did with Lazarus, He is willing to do with us. Which is good to know, for what Martha said about Lazarus can be said about us, "Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days" (John 11:39). Martha was speaking for us all. The human race is dead, and there is a bad smell. We have been dead and buried a long time. We don't need someone to fix us up; we need Someone to raise us up. In the muck and mire of what we call life, there is death, and we have been in it so long we've grown accustomed to the stink. But Christ hasn't.
And Christ can't stand the thought of His kids rotting in the cemetery. So He comes in and calls us out. We are the corpse, and He is the corpse-called. We are the dead, and He is the dead-raiser. Our task is not to get up but to admit we are dead. The only ones who remain in the grave are the ones who don't think they are there. We were 'once dead in our sins and trespasses, but now we have be raised together in Christ Jesus.' Praise the Lord!
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life” (I John 1:1).
It has been said, quite cogently, that John’s gospel assumes the humanity and undertakes to prove the deity of Jesus Christ, whereas John’s first Epistle assumes His deity, and then seeks to prove His humanity. The Lord Jesus Christ was both fully God and perfect Man.
John, in his gospel, says: “These are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name” (John 20:31). In his Epistle, he says: “Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God” (I John 4:2,3).
His deity had been fully demonstrated by His mighty miracles, by His bodily resurrection. However, there were many who questioned His true humanity in John’s day, as they do in ours. Even today, many cultists, as well as liberals, try to make a distinction between the man, Jesus of Nazareth (whose absolute deity they reject), and “the Christ,” an ideal spirit, or idea of some sort, who is not actually a living being, but who may come upon or indwell certain people at times.
Such a concept John vehemently rejects, attributing it to the spirit of Antichrist. They had heard Him; they had seen Him; they had intensely examined Him; they had touched and handled Him. There was no doubt whatever that, both before and after His resurrection, He was a true man—in fact, a perfect man—man as God intended man to be. He could die for our sins, because He was sinless man; He could take away our sins, because He is omnipotent God. --ICR/ HMM [For more information regarding the Bible, please go to "Institute For CREATION RESEARCH". --- The Beginning Of Creation ---By: Henry Morris, Ph.D. “But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female” (Mark 10:6).
These words of the Lord Jesus Christ ought to settle once and for all, for those who take His words seriously, the controversial question of the age of the earth.
The earth was created essentially at the same time, He [Christ], said, as the creation of Adam and Eve. Christ was quoting from Genesis 1:27: “. . . male and female created He them.” This greatest of God’s creative works was “from the beginning of the creation,” not 18 billion years after the beginning of the creation, as modern old-earth advocates allege.
One can understand why atheists believe in evolution and an almost infinitely old universe, for they really have no other alternative. One who believes in a personal God, on the other hand, only dishonors God if he believes such humanistic speculations rather than God’s Word. God is omniscient and omnipotent, as well as loving and merciful, and He would never do anything like this. The great ages assumed by evolutionary geologists supposedly involved billions of years of suffering and dying by billions of animals before man ever evolved. Surely this would have been the most inefficient, wasteful, and cruel method that ever could have been devised for “creating” human beings. Since man’s creation was God’s main purpose, there is no conceivable reason why He would waste billions of years in such a meaningless charade as this before getting to the point. In fact, the only reason He took six days was to serve as a pattern for man’s work week (Exodus 20:8–11).
In fact, the Lord Jesus Christ was not only a creationist, but was, Himself, the Creator of all things (John 1:3; Colossians 1:16; etc.). Therefore, He is the best possible witness as to when He created man and woman, and He said it was “from the beginning of the creation!” --ICR/HMM
