When she turned twenty-one, Tammy Harris from Roanoke, Virginia, began searching for her biological mother. After a year, she had not succeeded. What she didn't know was that her mother, Joyce Schultz, had been trying to locate her for twenty years.

According to a recent Associated Press story, there was one more thing Tammy didn't know: Her mother was one of her coworkers at the convenience store where she worked! One day Joyce overheard Tammy talking with another coworker about trying to find her mother. Soon they were comparing birth certificates.

When Tammy realized that the coworker she had known was, in fact, her mother, she fell into her arms. "We held on for the longest time," Tammy said. "It was the best day of my life."

Each week we rub shoulders with people whom we may barely notice. But if they share a birth in Christ, they are our dearest relatives. How precious is the family of God!

--CORONATION DAY!

-"Blessed is the man who endures trial, for...he will receive the crown of life." (James 1:12 RSV)

TO the Christian, death is said in the Bible to be a Coronation. The picture here is that of a regal prince who, after his struggles and conquests in an alien land, returns to his native country and court to be crowned and honored for his deeds.

The Bible says we are pilgrims and strangers in a foreign land. This world is not our home; our citizenship is in Heaven. And someday all our battles on the Earth will be over, and we will enter that Heavenly home.

To the one who has been faithful, Chrirst will give a crown of life. Paul said, "There is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing" (2 Timothy 4:8).

When D. L. Moody was dying, he looked up to Heaven and said, "Earth is receding, heaven is opening, this is my Coronation day." Never forget; if you are a Christian, you are a child of the King! ~~

--Who is Your Multitude?

~~Who are the people God wants you to help Him feed? Who are the people you come into contact with who are hungry for the bread of God's Word? And what are your "loaves and fish"?

We all have friends, family, neighbors, or just acquaintances that we see often or periodically. Many of these people have never heard of Jesus Christ. They don't know that in order to be assured of eternal salvation in Christ Jesus they must first say a sinners prayer and ask Jesus to come into their hearts. Jesus wants to use all of His people to spread the Good News of Eternity with Him. Let's step out in faith, asking God to direct our steps as we tell others of His glorious Kingdom.

What very limited and inadequate resources do you have? Wouldn't you like to experience the thrill of participating with Him in the miracle of feeding others with what you have received from Him--and finding that it's enough to satisfy their hunger? You are reading this on your computer, so that is a very good means to reach out and tell others of salvation, found only in Christ Jesus. Perhaps you are shy or unsure of telling people about a real Heaven and real Hell. Many don't know, and even more importantly they have heard, but have turned to some others way to find satisfaction in their soul. You can do it. The Bible tells us, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthes me."

The Lord will send the Holy Spirit to speak through you, or type a devotional. Each of us must be willing to reach out, in the Name above all other names, Jesus the Christ.

-If all you ever attempt is that which you know you can do or have the resources for, how will you ever discover what He can do?

Jesus said, "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledg him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven." Matthew 10:32-33

-Our Eternal Home
--A Prepared Place~

"In my Father's house are many mansions." (John 14:2)

AS much as our homes mean to us, they are not permanent. Sometimes I look at my own adult children and can hardly believe they are all grown and on their own. The house that once rang with the laughter of children now seems empty.

Those disciples who for Christ's sake gave up houses and lands and loved ones knew little of home life or home joys. It was as if Jesus were saying to them, "We have no lasting home here on Earth, but My Father's house is a home where we will be together for all eternity."

The venerable Bishop Ryle is reputed to have said, "Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people, and those who enter shall find that they are neither unknown nor unexpected."

Even life's happiest experiences last but a moment, yet Heaven's joy is eternal. Someday we will go to our eternal Home--and Christ will be there to welcome us! Oh what a glorious day that will be.

Please, if you haven't already accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, do so now. Tomorrow may be too late. Read Romans 10:9-11, ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sins and to be Lord of your life. He will help you. "Call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved." Jesus will help you to live a life that is worthy of His Kingdom. He loves you so much!

"He sets the poor on high...and makes their families like a flock." (Psalm 107:41)

ONE of the primary reasons for the breakdown of the home is that we have forgotten God's commands about marriage.

God gave marriage to us, and His standards have not changed. Jesus said, "A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife...Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate" (Matthew 19:5-6)~~

Divorce was not part of God's original design. The Bible declares, "The LORD God of Israel says that He hates divorce" (Malachi 2:16). Marriage is a symbol of the unity between Christ and His Church- -a unity that should never be torn.

No marriage is beyond repair with God's help. But we must humble ourselves and put aside our pride and self-will. We must put others ahead of ourselves.

If you have experienced divorce, God can forgive the past, heal the present, and give you hope for the future. But if you are married, treasure your spouse as a gift from God and yield your marriage to Christ. ~~

--The Movie most being talked about now on FaceBook is "Monumental" starring Kirk Cameron. I really like what he is trying to get across to Americans. We are truly heading in the wrong direction. We must pray and do what we can to stop this spiraling effect of lost moral values in the USA. "We are headed for disaster if we don't change our course now." I agree.
Is the direction America heading in, parallel to the same direction which the Roman Empire fell?
