Hey guys, i'm new to this forum. I mostly post on www.curezone.com. Anyways, I have been suffering for 3 and a half years of mental problems and Ulcerative colitis. Just found out that I was mercury poisoned. My sourse for mercury was canned tuna fish. Almost 2 cans a day for a straight year because of working out at the gym. I seeked a herbalist and he recommended DMSA. also other supplements to ensure full chelating effect. I am currently on my 3rd cycle of DMSA. 3 days on and 8 days off. I am taking 3 doses of DMSA per day in 200mg in between meals. Along with the DMSA I am taking these following supplements.

Liver Cleanse
Toxic Releif Booster - provides additional support
Vitamin C
Heavy Metal Support - replenishes minerals that are taken out by dmsa

Basic detox nutrients - additional support multivitamin

Medibulk - binds heavy metals in colon and flushes them out

Hydrolyzed lactalbumin whey protein - blocks blood-brain barrier to ensure no mercury gets redeposited into brain.

That is the chelation protocal given to me. I had done a nerutransmitter test and found my Serotonin levels and Epinephrine levels depleted. For them I am taking.

5-HTP for Serotonin
Isocort for Epinephrine
PS-100 for short term memory
Vinpocetine for memory

I am hearing left and right that DMSA doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier properly. I am confused. But just to be on the safe side I also take ALA which is included in Basic Detox Nutrients and Heavy Metal Support that I take on my 8 days off. I do weekly colonics and I even see shiny layers of particles on the top layer water of my stool.

I am totally confused If what I am doing is correct. I am on my 3rd cycle like I said and see no difference in my mental state of being and neither in my Ulcerative Colits. I am almost guaranteed that my ulcerative colitis is being caused by my mercury toxicity. I am confused guys, any help or advice can be greatly appreciated. I know what you mean about the tunafish (when I was in highschool I was a tuna can man).

Dont be afraid to eat fats (good fats); last time I was on a 'diet' I changed it up and ate a ton of good fats; and it worked well. ie avacados; coconuts, etc ...

IMO if you want to cure a 'incurable' disease that you have one needs to become the master of their own condition.

Read as much as you can on the subject; lots of good posts here. Yahoo forums mercury autism/ adult chelation/ and you are already at the curezone.

I'm no expert on UC but here is my 2cents worth ...

Sure the UC might be caused by the mercury ie the leaky gut etc ... Russ will tell you its a marathon and not a sprint; meaning it will take a long time to get the mercury out.

Lots of other good natural supplements you will find here on this forum ... BUT! dont start shotgunning approach this; you are already on a regimene with the DMSA and ALA and the other things.

I assume you have heard of garden of life's prducts and Dr. Jordan Rubin. His story was based on UC and how he cured it using basically probiotics; his company makes one called primal defense which is supposed to be real good.

But! ... IMO there is alot of marketing involved with their products so take what you read there with a grain of salt.

I have read good things about the primal defense thou.

Again read as much as you can on the subject and become a master of your own condition.

Thanks for the reply. I have no amalgam fillings whatsoever. My mercury toxicity came 100% from eating 2 cans of tuna a day for a year. Then my mental symptoms started to appear and everything from there went to hell.

I have been told that DMSA doesn't take out mercury from brain. That the Andy cutler protcol is the only way to effectively chelate mercury from the brain.

His doses of ever 3 hours are confusing along with the ALA. I am lost, if anyone can actually help me with this I would really appreciate it.

On my 3 days of DMSA, I take 200mgs, 3 times in betweem meals.

On my 8 days off of DMSA, I take Basic Detox nutrients and Heavy metal support, which they both have ALA. About 200mgs a day on that. Along with a bunch of other stuff, minerals and etc...

hmm Dr. Cutler's method is not the only way.
He's got a nice following so his methods must have some merit. Many people here take a more 'liberal' approach and use supplements but not so religiously ie 3 days on every 3 hours and 4-8 off etc etc ...

I dont know about DMSA; I stay away from it. ALA is supposed to cross the BBB (blood brain barrier).

Cilantro and garlic are more supplements that are supposed to cross the BBB also ... BUT! dont start taking these if you are already on a regimene of ALA and DMSA. Both DMSA and ALA are strong chelators so it's wise not to do too much at once.

My chelating protocal is this ...

cilantro, garlic, ALA (I'm using this but not as religiously ie 3-4x a day and then take as many times off), chlorella, algin, minerals, 10 grams~ of C a day...

Honestly I dont know if the chelation is working or helping me/but then again I've been investigating my health conditions for over 12 years and havnt found anything that helps yet. oh I should point out that if you have ever had 'immunizations' you most likely were injected with mercury (you can thank the AMA etc for that). So you have more mercury then just from eating the tuna; it's most likely that the tuna set off a myriad of symtpoms because you were suddenly over burdened with mercury then.
