Hi, I'm new here!

I'm wondering about vitamin B12 (specifically methyl cobalamin) and mercury.
I'm pretty sure that it's one of the recommended supplements to take if you have
issues with mercury or amalgams. However, I came across an article elsewhere
warming never to take any if that's the case - something to do with that methyl group
attaching to mercury and forming methylmercury. I saw another article warning against
B12 in general, even the non methylated sort.

Now I'm a bit confused and worried - any thoughts on this topic?

Long story short.....the Andy Cutler protocol (also listed in previous replies on this forum), and one other specialist with mercury/amalgams, said:
"Be absolutely certain that your dental procedures contain NO B12. Methyl Mercury is extremely dangerous to the nervous system."

Thank you for bringing this subject up because I also take the B12 and still have the amalgams (silver/mercury) in some of my teeth. The DMSA, (can order from VRP/Vitamin Research Products) is wonderful in chelating the mercury from the amalgams. Also Russ Tanner sells a product, ALGIN, that transports the mercury out of one's body through the bowels. Both of these items have helped me immensely to feel better. Hope this helps you. Thanks! I still have amalgams in, so I'm going to stop taking B12 to be on the safe side.

I just received an Algin supplement in the mail today, and am going to
give it a try.

I think methyl B-12 can be beneficial for high testosterone persons who can't methylate their own B-12. This will help regulate homocysteine and produce glutathione.

I'm not sure how much methylcobalamin contributes to the production of methly-mercury and it's hard to know if the benefit outweighs the risk. There are mixed positions on that.

But again, my best guess is that - in some people, it would be more beneficial (high testosterone) and in others it may be more detrimental.

In the end, we probably don't have enough hard data to be sure. I have no amalgams but am being exposed to regular mercury via chemtrails and I do use methyl B-12 about 5 days a week.

Thank you, Russ. It seems like Dr. Huggins is certain that B12 is harmful, and others are a bit more nebulous. I am pretty certain I don't have high testosterone, but have always taken sublingual methyl cobalamin as I've heard it's easier to absorb/utilize. Stopping for now, just to be safe.

Is it safe to take Vit B12 if we had our dental amalgams removed already?

I am currently still low in B12, and very low in testosterone (possibly due to the mercury in my body and low zinc, etc)

Myer's IV treatments (which incl high dose B12) improve my mood and sleep significantly as my B12 deplete over time.
