I have been following this board for a few months now and have found it to be extremely helpful. In fact, I'm now an Algin convert.

However, I am confused about something. Cutler's protocol calls for ALA to be used every 3 hours or redistribution can ocurr. I read the online info about your product Heavy Metal Detox (HMD) and see it has both cilantro and ALA (both cross the blood brain barrier and mobilize mercury) in it with instructions to use it just a few times a day, and not the three hours that Cutler recommends.

So, is the difference between Cutler's protocol and using HMD less frequently than Cutler recommends, the fact that you add Algin to the equation, which will absorb loose mercury before redistribution can take place?

A final question. I don't fully understand how redistribution takes place. Algin works in the GI tract but I am extremely mercury toxic and wonder if redistribution can take place from the blood before the mercury even makes it to the GI tract where Algin will bind to it and remove it from the body.

Also, I assume one needs to start very slowly with this product and slowly increase the dose to keep redistribution symtpoms to a minimum.

Any info would be useful and appreciated, and BTW, thank you Russ and Laura (and Anonymous) for the very useful info and help you have already provided.

I tried this product for a day but it was way too much for me, probably it was too soon after removal. If i try it again, il take only a small dose and see how it goes maybe in 3mths or when i feel better. Maybe you could use it like DMSA, break open the caps and pour a small amount in water and have it every 3hrs along with Algin.

I can't seem to use DMSA or DMPS, which is what landed me on this site. I'm trying to find another way to detox mercury without killing myself, so to speak.

I hope this information will be useful.

Because the recommended dose can be drastically different from one person to another, there is really no way to print an accurate dosage on the bottle, but NSP is required to do so.

This supplement is an excellent combination and even contains Algin, but it is potent, especially for those who are very mercury toxic.

Because the ingredients in Heavy Metal Detox cross the bbb, and because there is such an assortment of detox agents in the mix, I would definitely start with only 1 capsule per day for 1 week and see how you feel at the end of a week.

When taking Heavy Metal Detox, I would also be taking additional Algin as an extra measure of security. I would take 3 capsules of Algin 4 times per day throughout the day between meals (last one before bedtime) to be sure to capture the mobilized mercury that gets dumped by the liver into the intestines.

As you feel better over time, add one additional capsule of Heavy Metal Detox and stay on that until you again reach the same level of strength. It may take months depending on the amount of mercury you have to detox. It's an enduring but rewarding process.

Also, be sure not to change dosages just because you have 2 or 3 good days in a row. Make sure you do well for an entire week before bumping up to the next dosage.

I hope this helps. I believe that we will post these instructions on line for those who want to use HMD in the future. It's an excellent combination, it just needs to be used methodically.
