I have to admit, I was very skeptical about whether or not my health problems were caused by mercury fillings, but after having my first quadrant removed, there is absolutely no doubt. My doctor had pinpointed this particular quadrant as troublesome, and let me say after having the crown/fillings removed from that quadrant that I am thoroughly convinced. I was absolutely exhausted - worse than any previous "down spell" I had experienced before - for a good 10 days. I did not heed the advice laid out in Huggins book, and continued about my normal lifestyle after the procedure. Big mistake! After exerting myself physically the next day, I paid the price big time. I did not leave my house for 3 days, sleeping up to 14 hours a day. I'm just starting to feel back to normal now, 3 weeks later. Imagine having the flu for 3 weeks - it takes a toll on your psyche, as well as your body.

3 more quadrants to go. Ugh. But it will be worth it in the long run.

Please don't be discouraged if, in the very near future, your encounter the well-known "Roller Coaster" effect. Ups and downs are common during this time, but the major trend line if definitely up.

Roller coaster effect? Hell, like I haven't been on a roller coaster for the last 4 years+ anyway! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> The thing that really burns my a#$ is that I paid thousands of dollars over my lifespan to ADA trained professionals to put poisonous substances in my mouth, which completely disrupt some of the prime years of my life, and then I have to pay thousands of dollars to have them removed. What a bloody racket! I feel very sorry for those whose damage is even worse. Totally unjust.

I just had 5 more removed today - hoping the down slopes on the roller coaster aren't so steep this time. My dentist mentioned there was distinct "tattooing" on these teeth. Thank you ADA!
