We Become Knowledgeable About the Things We Care About

There is a Biblical principle that isn't well known. It reveals that the 2 people in scripture (other then Jesus) who received the most, in-depth, future revelation (John, Daniel) were the 2 that were identified as being loved - or beloved - of God.

God says, draw near to Me and I'll draw near to you. Love begets love.

The underlying principle is:

Those who the love the most learn the most.

This principle is echoed in a more secular tone in this:

You become knowledgeable about the things you care about.

"And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling." -Daniel 10:11

"Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved." -John 13:23
