The Fragile Fortress and the Perishable Bunker

Astonishing is the hubris some degreed persons have. They deny thousands of first-hand observations in favor of the claims in their textbooks.

It's okay that today I have been ridiculed by 3 degreed people that each ignore first-hand observations, hard evidence, lab tests, history, and whistle blowers without any consideration for the myriad of contradictions the opinions they defiantly defend contain. Instead. they cling - as if paranoid - to their textbooks and the perceived safety of their preferred comfortable beliefs.

They do not realize that, to us who observe, study, deduce and continue grow in knowledge, they appear as spoiled, rebellious, paranoid children who exercise blind faith in the system they bought with mountainous loans. They choose to adorate their comfortable emotions and decorate their porous ideals with hollow ornaments rather than contemplate new evidence which potentially tips the delicate balance in their hearts. They ridicule others chanting their degrees for the emotional permission they need to justify acting out their belittling arrogance.

Oh what surprises await them when they discover the depths of lies and corruption that saturate the system in which they invested their savings and for which they buried themselves in debt; the selfsame system which birthed their trusted mentors and colleagues.

Not all academics share this ilk. Those with the strength of character to remain humble occasionally change the world. Those without such strength heap up for themselves mountains of humiliation in a fast-approaching future when they will finally discover the selfsame system produced the textbooks they spent their lives and fortunes molding into a delicate fortress.

While it has always been true: "Pride is the force that keeps the truth from passing between people.", never in history has this truth been more applicable.

Paranoia and selfishness are typically the driving forces behind denial. Ironically, the media, born of the same system, regularly calls the wrong group of people "paranoid".

Clinging to comfortable beliefs is the habit of the fearful. Strength in numbers is the fairytale for the emotionally-guided. Such myths are the perishable bunkers within which prideful academics, indebted for the titles they have purchased, avoid the daylight.

Considering evidence and observation - regardless of difficulty or discomfort - is the natural course of those who have changed history, degreed or common, mentored or alone.

Courage and humility are a powerful combination. Those having such are capable of holding truth far above their own emotional comfort, and in so doing, they bring many others to truth, a noble act.

Fear and hubris are a common combination. Those having such leverage their financed titles to hoard mobs without sound logic. In doing so, they bring many others to the very system which birthed them. They do all this to the end that they may elevate their fragile fortress and boast of it's great height and beauty shortly before it collapses upon their perishable bunker, and there is no more a place to hide.
