No, I don't mean it's just hot! Hi there, so glad I found a place like this with folks who are dealing with the same things I am! Like most, mine is a long and sad tale...

In 1999, I flew to my sister's house in western PA to celebrate the birth of her new baby. Ten days after returning home, I felt unwell. I was fatigued and developed terrible pain in my shoulder as well as digestive problems, inability to focus and a host of other symptoms. I ignored them all and soldiered on, but four months later I had an overwhelming feeling that something very terrible was wrong and I was going to die. However, I was so exhausted, overwhelmed by life and sick, I had decided not to do anything to stop it as it would come as a relief.

My sister was having her own problems with her infant and doctor after doctor told her she was just a new mom and to suck it up. She had another child and both began to have very ill health. I visited them and was alarmed at how grey their skin was. She took them to many doctors and they were finally diagnosed with parasites from the well water they were drinking. Their house was an old farmhouse and the well was shallow, allowing bacteria and parasites to flourish. She related her symptoms and I realized that was what I was dealing with as well!

Unfortunately, the treatment for the parasites did not seem to completely heal us. She dug a new well, but her family continued to suffer, as did I. Three years later, she finally took her dying son to a specialist in Mexico who suggested she test her old well water for toxins. It came back positive for a host of metals including Mercury, Lead, Cadmium, Tin and Arsenic. These metals were getting into her well water from a strip mining operation up the hill from her house and from chemicals sprayed on the cornfield behind her house. We chelated and all felt great!

Well, for a little while. My sumptoms seemed to sneak back to me, unlike her family. More years went by and I could not understand why they got better and I did not, until I came across a Website about Mercury Amalgam poisoning. I had rated highest for the Mercury when tested, and realized my symptoms were ongoing due to what I carried in my teeth. I have numerous fillings, many from the 80's which I have read was a bad time to get them as they are more unstable. I have also had fillings redone and a root canal, so I am not surprised I rated higher for the Mercury.

Since the doctors decided I should not need to chelate more for the metals I was exposed to at her house, they gave me no more medication. I found a dentist who removes the amalgam fillings safely and have had one quadrant of my mouth done in safer material. Unhappily, it is extremely expensive and I have had a hard time generating enough money to cover what the dental plan won't.

After all this, it bothers me that the ADA and others continue to insist Mercury is safe in your mouth and that no ill comes of it. I know how I felt when I was poisoned with heavy metals from the bad well water, and I'm here to tell you, I have those same symptoms. I was a bit better shortly after I had the one set of fillings removed, but it has been over a year and I am back to battling all the symptoms again.

I can't wait to get more dental work done! I also look forward to meeting folks here and learning what more I can do and helping those who have suffered.

I just read your story and although being a little different than some because of the well you drank from, your story is so similar to so many people who have suffered from mercury poisoning from our medical (dental) system.

I suffered myself greatly up until 2000 when I finally learned what what the cause of my numerous illnesses and had all of my amalgam fillings removed. I had a dramatic recovery and got my life back. Here's a link to my story:

I'm glad you found the cause of this problem and I'm sure I know how anxiously you look forward to having the fillings replaced. I wish you the same dramatic recovery as I have had.
