"Calling disciples to him, Jesus said, 'I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.'"

-JESUS watched the people putting money in the temple treasury. Many wealthy people gave large sums, but Jesus kept watching until He saw someone give the amount He thought was most acceptable. And there she was--a widow who gave all she had. That was the right amount.

It is amazing what the Lord can do with small amounts of time, talent or treasure when the one who gives, gives all he's got. The apostles had few resources, but they gave all they had and the world changed as God used them. Throughout the history of the Church, God's blessings have flowed most freely through hearts that gave all they had. Today in restricted countries, Christians endure great hardship and in the midst of it, give all they have. Their deep commitment is yielding great spiritual fruit.

This principle glorifies God, advances His kingdom and serves our fellow Christians. But it also simplifies our personal live. You never have to wonder how much you should give to the Master if you simply give freely from your heart.
