I'm weighing up my options at the moment for chelation , what's on offer near to me is either intravenous EDTA & oral DMSA or just oral DMSA on it's own. I'm also going to start a more restrictive anti Candida diet as well as using Oregano oil , capryllic acid etc. What I'm most concerned about is being able to properly eliminate the metals instead of just redistributing them around my body. In the last week I took a high dose of Garlic and I woke up the next morning with neck pain , sore , heavy eyes and severe fatigue. Does anybody have any advice on how to properly remove the metals once they've been moved? Also if anybody has any experience of OSR#1 I'd appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

Don't use EDTA. It does a much better job of removing necessary minerals than of removing toxic metals. Oral DMSA is good. After a while it should be combined with alpha lipoic acid to be more effective.

To help eliminate toxic metals, one should take herbs such as turmeric,cayenne, licorice root,cat's claw and dandelion which increase bile production. They should also eat plenty of fiber. Much of the mercury excreted is excreted via bile through the bowel.

The reaction you received from garlic is a good thing. It means candida is being destroyed. Try to continue using the garlic if you can. In addition to killing candida, garlic is a great source of sulfur, which is necessary for detoxification.

I am currently using OSR and have to say it certianly moves some thing! I only managed two weeks on 100mg a day till i had to take a break as felt very ill indeed.

I am VERY toxic though - i did a biomer challenge test and took two months to recover from that - by recover i mean get back to symptoms been tollerable rather than tortureous!

While on OSR i developed Flu like symptoms(the same as i got on the biomer challenge test) followed by massive increase in pain - repetetive brain started with a vengence and then i developed cognitive symptoms where i was not sure who people were in photos of my friends!! It was then i decided i needed to take a break.

Congitive problems relaxed quite quickly on stopping OSR - 2-3 days - repetetive brain is still there but has always been there in some form or other.

I plan to go back onto OSR shortly at 1/4 capsule a day and build up VERY slowly indeed

Currently i am just doing HEEL KIT and very short FIR saunas to try and get my bodies elimination channels flowing more. My lymphatics are certainly clogged up big time.

Whatever you do - i would suggest start low and slow and build up slowly - it is not recommended to use OSR until candida problems are under control

I'm with JK - DMSA is a good and very common choice while EDTA is normally used for lead chelation. It's not terribly effective for mercury, although it does move some.

I started with 25mg DMSA and I'm up to 125mg now.

I had severe reactions to garlic also when I was filled up with mercury - (in supplement form), more than the food form. In supplement form it appeared to be concentrated and if you have high mercury and/or candida, then you'll likely have strong reactions or worse.

There are those with mercury who can find reactions to sulfur foods/supplements strong or even intolerable, whilst others benefit greatly and feel better. Sulfur mobilises metals and from there they can be redistributed into more sensitive areas. You may find you're not so bad with garlic in food form and cooked.

But I'd go easy or even skip garlic for awhile and allow things to settle. perhaps skip it until your reactions to sulfur containing foods become less severe.

If you don't want to redistribute metals more than necessary, but would like to remove them in a safer manner, then you would be wise to take DMSA (orally) according to Andrew Hall Cutler's protocol. I'd recommend checking out this link for chelation/supplement advice:
