I had a rhogam injection after the baby was born. I did not know that they give you such a thing during pregnancy; good thing I never went to a doctor at all until the child was born. (Yes, that is the truth.)
Maybe the mercury in the innoculation might explain my severe tiredness for a couple of YEARS after having a baby. What a vile bunch of swine the deliberately-ignorant doctors are! I can't even imagine what getting the injections during gestation does to the poor baby.

You know, Carla, if I had it to do all over again, I would not go to the dr. either, during pregnancy. I had four miscarriages, and I feel that, at least the last one, was caused by the nurse (whether intentionally or not, I don't know. I have seven children and some of these hospitals which do abortions become callous - they are anti-life. Producing a miscarriage would not be difficult). I would go to a midwife who had no connection with a hospital, and preferrably a Christian prolifer, if I went at all. The older I get, and the more I learn, the more wary I am becoming of the medical "profession".

MMM, thanks so much for your sympathetic words! Do you think that your children suffered from your RhoGam injection? Sometimes something theoretically "bad" happens, but there are no harmful results.
Some of the older people, born of sound stock in the old country or on the farm, eventually get metal put into their mouths, but they suffer no symptoms that we see described here, for example. They seem to be no sicker or degenerate than people who don't have metal-mouth. But they may have passed poison on to their children., which is maybe one reason why every generation is weaker than the one before it; I can't fathom what it will be like in 50 years, can you?

Your post is most interesting, Dallas. Yes, it is a shame we have to learn by experience. If I had known anything about RhoGam or mercury, I sure would have refused that stupid shot.
What you say about the anti-lifers is indeed true. I know some Planned Parenthood types, and they can't bear to see a woman happy about her pregnancy (they have all had abortions themselves, I am sure of that). When they see a young single mother, they just seethe with hatred - they want every single pregnant woman to kill her unborn baby. I'm not saying that being single and being a parent is the best situation, but killing your children is the solution??
I am sorry to hear of all your miscarriages, but it is nice you have seven children!
Back to avoiding doctors during pregnancy: anyone planning that - you must never tell anyone - you will be considered worse than a criminal. You folks on this forum are the only ones who know.

I don't know a whole lot about this topic. However, I would urge you to look into the consequences of NOT getting RhoGAM. My sister has had over 10 first trimester miscarriages because her doctor forgot to give her the RhoGAM shot. She is now sensitized to the Rh+ blood of her unborn babies, and her immune system fights off the babies blood causing a hemolytic disease and eventually miscarriage. If you are Rh negative and have an Rh positive baby, if you do not get the shot and become pregnant again with an Rh positive baby, you run the risk of miscarriage anytime from conception to birth. Not saying I'm right or wrong...just talk to your doctor before just refusing the shot. It has caused a lot of sadness in my sisters life.

I just read that 62% of autistic children have mothers that were given Rhogam during pregnancy. I am being presured into having the shot by both my Dr and my midwife who says she will not tread me unless I have the shot. Almost all Vaccinations are mecury bases including Rhogam. We really need to do our homework, stand up for ourselfs and say NO to these vaccinations!

The FDA took Thermerosol out of Rhogam in 2001. This was the ingrediant in the shot that contained mercury. My oldest son born in 1999 has cerebral palsy, mild retardation, and epilepsy that I blame on Rhogam. I was given a shot at 27 weeks.

I have twin 3 1/2 yr old boys and BOTH are on the autism spectrum and have significant learning delays. Neither of them, after being tested, have any chromosomal or genetic defects whatsoever, nor is there a family history. MRI's came back that their brains are completely normal. I was given Rhogam and told I had to have it or my children could die at delivery. I ended up contracting PUPPPS (a burning, itching rash all over the body) from this shot. Only a few years later, when my children have been diagnosed and declared that there is nothing physically wrong w/ them, did I start to rack my brain and then research the Rhogam, which contains mercury...a leading cause of autism and developmental delays in fetuses. Don't get the shot. Women have had babies successfully for centuries without it. I wish I would have gone with my gut, not with the dr.

Oh my gosh!! How did you find out about that? I have had two pregnancies with a total of 4 shots!! That infuriates me that they didn't tell me it contained mercury!! I am literally ate up with Mercury and I am only 27 years old!!! I have 14 almagam fillings, gotten 2 flu shots(which I was told contain mercury, if I would have known then I would have never gotten it) and 4 Rhogam shots!! What a crime for mother's to be told they need this shot without prior knowledge of mercury being shot through their child's innocent body!! I'm so upset about this!! Thanks for letting me know about this. If I get pregnant again I will get a midwife next time. You can't trust Dr's these days!! No wonder I feel so tired all the time!! Please pass this on to everyone you know who is RH negative.

The concern over RhoGAM is based on the fact that in its earlier form it contained thimerosal. Between1968 (when RhoGAM was first licensed) and April of 2001, RhoGAM contained the thimerosal preservative. Thimerosal contains ethylmercury and because methylmercury (another mercury based composition) has been found to cause severe health problems, ethylmercury is also being scrutinized. Both compositions are known to be neurotoxins. To date, no conclusive evidence has been found linking ethylmercury to neurodevelopmental disorders, but the FDA has treated thimerosal with caution.
Oh, the horror! Calm down. Please, it's not that serious...

I could not disagree more. You obviously have not seen the work that Dr. Boyd Haley has done at the U. of Kentucky on this subject. The statement you made above is embarrasing—to say the least—considering the evidence that has been brought forth. I would recommend you mosy on over to the IAOMT website and get yourself a copy of the video related to mercury and neurodegenerative diseases. About calming down...You obviously have not experienced mercury poisoning. If you had, you would never make a statement like that. Additionally, you said...the FDA has treated thimerosal with caution What on earth does that mean? You sound like a politician. The FDA has done little more than to hold hearings. If the FDA was not a revolving door for the pharmaceutical companies (which it is), they would have banned the use of the well-known, well-documented neurotoxin years ago. It is highly suspect that ANY medically competent health professional would choose a mercury compound as a preservative to be injected or installed in the human body; Even moreso considering the myriad of alternative "preservatives" available. By the way...Have you heard that the autism rates in California are dropping? Guess why? (until next time)

Hi I am a Mother who recently found out that my 19 month son is mildly autistic 1 in a 166 children are currenly being diagnosed After much reseached and the help with a DAN doctor who specializes in AUTISM BIO MEDICINE I finally found out that my Rhogam shot put my son at risk for developing autism, since he regressed to autism at 18 months. "RhoGAM Moms are apporximately 15% of the general population but 49% of the population of mothers of Autistic Children. Resarch has suggested Autism is extremely complex and if a small child received many insults (vaccines, live virus allery response , compromised immune system, environmental toxins, etc...) the childs immune system and nevous system begins to go awry... please check out website www.generationrescue for more facts... My son who had only been sick (2 times) and now his blood test show he has high antibodies for Rubella, Measels and Mumps,*causing his autoimmune response Also Hypothyroidism and Ebsten Bar Virus (Mono) When did this happen??? Please moms please research, mainstream doctors and nurses are even aware of the problem

I developed a severe rash after my first pregnancy 16 years ago. I had received the rhogan shot the day after I delivered. This rash erupted about 3 months after I had the shot, and I suffered with it for years. I nearly died because the itching and weeping was so excruciating that I couldn't sleep. And the TIREDNESS; I thought it was being the single mom of a newborn, but in retrospect, it was much more than that. That is the only shot of rhogan I have had, and I now have 4 children(one miscarriage along the way). A few years after my rash experience, I was thinking about the whole thing, and my thoughts kept going back to that shot. I realized that I didn't even know what it was, so I began researching it. Now, here I am on this page! I cannot believe how insane injecting people with these substances is. My kids all seem fine, though my 14 year old (second born) swears she is ADD. She does fine in school, but feels that she is very spacy. Plus, she didn' twalk until she was 18 months old. She had one round of immunizations at 2 months (another insane practice), and had a lump in her leg and was very fussy for many days. I feel that if I had continued the imminuzations, I couldpossibly have an "autistic" (mercury poisoned?) child. How much of that mercury was still in my system, and how may it have affected her? How much is still in my system? I feel abnormally tired often, even though I eat well and make it a point to get enough sleep. I am wanting as much info. on this as I can get. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Rhogam Injections have NOT had any mercury or mercury based ingredients since 2001. http://www.rhogamfyi.com/I did an amazing amount of research before I got my injection 4 weeks ago. Please inform yourselves from legitimate sites and dont' just take somebody's word for it! (Including mine... research!!)

The site you posted a link to contains this statement: "To date, no conclusive evidence has been found linking ethylmercury to neurodevelopmental disorders, but the FDA has treated thimerosal with caution.""Conclusive Evidence" seems to mean that the FDA finally admits something everyone else has known for 20 years. (It would be beneficial for people to learn more about how the FDA really works by watching this video: Sweet Misery. When you research these issues, it is so glaringly obvious that ethylmercury is at the center of autism, ADD, and a host of other mercury-related diseases, yet the ADA and government still will not back down from the volumes of evidence against their position. Through much study, I've seen their lies and how they play word games. They have no conscience at all. I hope people begin to wake up. As for Rhogam, I have no specific knowledge about when (or if) mercury was removed except via the link you supplied. In this context, I would be cautious because many doctors have been told that Thimerosal was removed from vaccines but they neglected to state that the existing stocks of vaccines that DO contain mercury will be distributed for years to come. There are still other seemingly reliable sources that state that Thimerosal was not removed from vaccines, only reduced. There is a lot more to this story but the bottom line is, you cannot believe it just because the Doctors or the mainstream media says so. Doctors often just repeat what they've been told and the media has zero accountability. Just a little advice from a veteran who has been harmed by mercury. "That's what happened with several people working for the FDA...If they passed Aspartame, literally, they were promised great jobs when they finished with FDA."Arthur Evangelista, Former FDA Investigator

I also have many amalgam fillings, which I hope to have removed after I wean my daughter(she is close!). Thank-you to Russ Tanner for your caring, and sharing of information. I am considering doing some type of metal detox. I know very little about this- did you do anything like that to rid your body of the mercury?(and who knows what else, in these times!). Thanks again!

More accurately, it has not been manufactured with mercury since then (for the U.S. market). It does, however, have a shelf life and you also do not know if the recommended shelf life is being honored by doctors. Always ask the doctor to see the ingredient list from the very product package he wants to inject into you before allowing it. Also, it would be worth finding out of mercury is used in the manufacture of RhoGAM even if it is not added as a preservative after. I would also like people to be aware of the health effects of many preservatives. Here is some info from the FDA that might be useful. Mercury in Plasma-Derived Products[Thimerosal in Vaccines] The EPA has raised concerns regarding mercury exposure. These concerns have been in the context of chronic exposure to methyl mercury in milligram amounts. In contrast, blood plasma-derived products (except anti-venoms) containing ethyl mercury are usually given as one or two injections. Furthermore, the ethyl mercury content of these products is in the form of a preservative, thimerosal, which breaks down to form ethyl mercury in microgram amounts. In the past, plasma-derived products made in multiple-use vials, e.g. Immune Globulin (Human), used for Hepatitis A prophylaxis, contained a preservative, such as ethyl mercury-containing thimerosal, to avoid contamination. This type of multi-dose presentation has been discontinued for all licensed plasma derivative products. Rho (D) Immune Globulin (Human) products - RhoGAM, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, Inc BayRho, Bayer Corporation WinRho, Cangene Corporation RhoGAM, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, Inc [licensed 1968] On April 16, 2001, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics was approved by FDA to produce RhoGAM without thimerosal, and at that time, Ortho agreed to distribute only thimerosal-free product to the US market. The product has a 2-year dating period, so there is no longer any RhoGAM that contains thimerosal that is still in-date. The following information does not apply to any RhoGAM product currently on the market, but is provided to allow interested individuals to estimate the ethyl mercury content of any RhoGAM treatment that might have been administered in the past, when the thimerosal preservative was still a component of that product. RhoGAM is manufactured in two doses only: the standard dose of "300 micrograms" of anti-D, and the micro-dose of "50 micrograms" of anti-D. The fill volume for both the standard dose and micro-dose products is typically between 0.6 and 0.8 mL. Preservative-containing RhoGAM contained thimerosal at 0.003%, or 30 micrograms per milliliter. Thimerosal is about 50% ethyl mercury by weight. Hence, a patient who had received a dose of RhoGAM (0.7 ml on average) would have received 10.5 micrograms of ethyl mercury. There are three indications for which an Rh-negative pregnant woman would receive a significantly larger dose of RhoGAM: a fetal-maternal hemorrhage early in the pregnancy, a fetal-maternal hemorrhage greater than 15 ml of Rh+ red cells, and an Rh+ transfusion. In the first case, a single 300 microgram dose of RhoGAM, is recommended at 12-week intervals. For the second two indications, a procedure exists by which to determine the dose of RhoGAM required, based on the amount of Rho+ red cells in the maternal circulation: the Kleihauer-Betke elution test (see the AABB Technical Manual, 13th ed., pp. 507-8.) The total dose of mercury that would hve been received can be calculated by multiplying the number of RhoGAM syringes administered by 10.5 micrograms. BayRho, Bayer Corporation [licensed 1971] The Bayer Corporation makes a Rho (D) Immune Globulin product (BayRho) which in the past contained thimerosal; this product has been manufactured without preservative since 1996, so that no in-date BayRho contains thimerosal. Regarding the previously distributed product, the volume of a single dose of the Bayer product was approximately 0.7 ml. The thimerosal concentration was 0.01%, so the total mercury in a single dose would have been approximately 35 micrograms of ethyl mercury. WinRho SD, Cangene Corporation [licensed 1996] The Cangene Corporation makes a freeze-dried Rho (D) Immune Globulin Intravenous (WinRho SD); this product has never contained a preservative. In addition, four other plasma-derived products remain on the market that contain or contained ethyl mercury preservatives. They are as follows: Antivenin (Crotalidae) Polyvalent (Equine); Pit viper snake antivenom, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc Antivenin (Micrurus fulvius); Coral snake antivenom (Equine), Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Inc Crotalidae Polyvalent Immune Fab (Ovine); Pit viper snake antivenom, Protherics Inc Antivenin (Lacrodectus mactans); Black Widow spider antivenom Equine), Merck & Co, Inc Pit Viper [Antivenin (Crotalidae) Polyvalent, licensed 1954] and Coral Snake [Antivenin (Micrurus fulvius), licensed 1967] antivenoms by Wyeth These products are equine antisera. They are in lyophilized form and when reconstituted contain 0.005% thimerosal (50 micrograms per milliliter). The diluent, WFI, contains the preservative phenylmercuric nitrate at 0.001% concentration (10 micrograms per milliliter). A patient bitten by a snake may receive 15 or more vials (doses of 50 vials have been reported) if the envenomization is severe. A 15 vial dose of this antivenom would contain 4.7 milligrams of mercury. Wyeth plans to discontinue these products; however, the current supply will last several years, until each lot reaches its expiration date. Rattlesnake bites are dangerous and can cause serious morbidity or mortality. In the interest of the public health these products need to be available until sufficient ethyl mercury-free product can be provided to the public. Pit Viper antivenom [Crotalidae Polyvalent Immune Fab (Ovine) licensed October 2000, Protherics] [color:"red"]Mercury is not added to the final product in the form of a preservative, but thimerosal is used to assure that the chromatography columns used in the manufacturing of this product do not become bacterially contaminated with repeated use.[/color] The product was approved but the ethyl mercury content was limited to not more than 104.5 micrograms ethyl mercury per vial, with a recommended maximum dose of 18 vials. A patient receiving this product would receive about 1.88 milligrams of mercury. Black Widow Spider antivenom [Antivenin (Lactrodectus mactans), licensed 1936, Merck] This product is an equine antiserum. The reconstituted product contains 0.1 milligrams of mercury per milliliter, so that the maximum 2-vial dose would contain 0.25 milligrams of mercury. Black Widow Spider bites can be lethal, and the dose is limited to not more than two vials. It has been determined that removal of the product from the market by the FDA would not be in the best interests of public health. Source: http://www.fda.gov/cber/blood/mercplasma.htm

A key post from that board:
--- I don't understand why pregnant women have the jab when they are pregnant.
They have the jab because they are told if they have antibodies in the blood from a previous pregnancy that will damage the baby?
Well, keep in mind a very important point about RhoGam and that is that the antibodies attack ALL RH positive cells. The entire premise is that if the mother's blood mixes with the baby's blood, the antibodies will neutralize the baby's blood cells before the mother can create her own antibodies against the baby. The dilemna is that if the mother's and baby's blood does actually mix it is equally likely that the RhoGam antibodies will cross over and attack the baby itself. This happens frequently but isn't discussed by most doctors. It is a big reason to only get the shot after pregancy if the baby really is RH+
The RhoGam antibodies will attach to your baby's blood cells and render them incapable of delivering oxygen. This has long term consequences on brain development. Most doctors are completely ignorant of this issue.
The RhoGam antibodies do not cross the placenta. But neither do blood cells from the baby which is exactly why the RhoGam is injected. In very rare circumstances, such as the mother becoming injured, the blood of the mother and baby can mix. It's a paradox, only when the antibodies are needed can they harm the baby.
The RhoGam antibodies are put there to attack any baby's blood that comes across. But if there is mixing then the antibodies can go across the other way and they do exactly that. Antibodies diffuse much more readily through the bloodstream than whole cells.
Immunology textbooks still correctly point out that RhoGam should be given after childbirth only if the baby is RH+. These are the mothers that are at high risk. However the company that manufactures RhoGam lobbied to have it's use expanded to all RH- mothers during and after pregnancy to 'guarantee' that all high risk mothers were protected. Doctors try to rationalize this by saying that even during the first pregnancy blood can mix and antibodies can be produced that will attack the baby. This almost never happens because the blood would have to mix twice, once to stimulate the production of Abs in the mother and the second time for those antibodies to diffuse to the baby. And regardless, the paradox comes into play because if the mother's Abs can diffuse to harm the baby, then so can the injected RhoGam Abs. They are the same exact antibodies.
Each RhoGam injected contains blood serum pooled from several different persons with the antibodies. The manufacturer can not possibly screen or remove all viruses from it. But that's a separate issue.
The Rhogam antibodies in the injection are identical to the antibodies that the Rh- mother makes against her child. The Rhogam antibodies were collected from RH- mothers who did have an immune response to their RH+ babies. The Rhogam antibodies will attack and destroy the baby's red blood cells (if they do come across the placenta) before the mother's immune response kicks in and makes her own antibodies. You give rhogam to a mother after delivery because that is when the blood mixes. The rhogam antibodies destroy the baby's cells so that the mother's immune system never sees them and therefore never becomes sensitized to make those exact same antibodies.
If you give the Rhogam antibodies during pregnancy you have just created the situation you were trying to avoid. The whole point is for the pregnant mother to NOT have antibodies against her own child circulating in her system while she is pregnant.
Any blood mixing would allow those antibodies to attack the baby.
It does not matter if the mother's immune system made those antibodies or another mother's immune system (rhogam) made those antibodies. They are identical down to their molecular structure and you do not want them to contact the baby.

I am RH negative. I have four children born in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006. I had the shot with all four. My oldest has ADHD. My next child has PDD-NOS on the Autism Spectrum, and is also being treated for ADHD. My third child has had developmental delays since 6 months old. She is been treated for sensory problems and speech delays. My youngest is allready receiving therapy with a pt due to milestone delays. All three of my oldest children have went through or are going through speech therapy. My husband and I were both typically developing children. We do not have a family history of these problems. So were do they come from. I have chose a healthy lifestyle for myself and our children. They have all also been up to date on their shots uncluding their flu shots. I also got flu shots when I was pregnant with the older three. I stopped the flu shots last year when I found out they had mercury in them. So what do you do? The y cant go to school without the shots. And now this year they added two more to the 4 year old visit that are required.

I'm very sorry to hear about the health issues with your children. This kind of story really upsets me because these are all artificially-created medical issues that can be avoided, but of course, avoiding these issues goes against the financial interests of the medical establishment. Most states have exemptions for vaccines, you just have to know how to use them. Here is a resource every parent should have. This information is astounding and also contains a form and resources to keep your children from receiving vaccines: Vaccines: The Risks, The Benefits, The Choices by Dr. Sherri TenpennyI would take a look at the parent manual/DVD combo. It covers every childhood vaccine and contains amazing information that every person should have... and all from peer-reviewed medical journals. Also, there are programs for helping children with the issues that you're having. You may want to check out this video: http://herballure.com/MediaCenter/NBCNews_InterviewHandleyAutism.htmlThis video is about autism but also relates to other childhood diseases because they are mostly linked to the same root causes such as mercury, aluminum, and other known-toxic ingredients in vaccines. I hope this helps.

I tried to deny the shot with my last child and had a fit over it but the where going to deny me to be seen agian also made a big deal telling me I did not care about my baby and was killing it I sat there and cried but still not wanting the shot finally they came back in the room and gave it to me even though I said I did not want it that was only a few days before he was born the day he was born they said I did not need it after all we where the same blood type and gave me another shot of it while I was sleeping for my next pregnancy. My son is now 15 months old and not talliking and I see other little potential things. I am 6 months pregnant and now I am going through the same thing agian but this being my 4th child have decieded not to get it and not to give vacanations based on my research and experinces. I cant belive the things they put in us with little to no proof they work and even at a low rate at that. I am trying to do the best for my kids and now I feel that by allowing them the shots and myself has put them at risk. My 7 year old has alot of problems I think are related to shots. so I have descided not to give any more and not to have the newborns I have been going to scholl and wanting to major in biotech and bio engenerring and through that have learned the harmful things they are doing to us and the fact they dont even work how they tell us they do .

I just told my MW about possibly not having the shot at my 28 week check up which is still far away as I'm only 11 weeks.
I had the shot with my last two during my last two pregnancies and after all 3 pregnancies. My son is autistic and my youngest daughter has sensory issues (no where near as bad as my son though). At those times the RhoGam shot still contained 25-35 mcgs of thimerosal ... isn't that lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With everything I have read so far, I'm really considering NOT having the shot during this pregnancy and the nurse proceeded to tell me that she didn't think they could treat me if I didn't have the shot at 28 weeks .... I told her I didn't understand why not? As long as we still have freedom no one is forced to take any vaccine!?!
She called the "director" in and she proceeded to "inform" me about how I'm taking a HUGE risk with maybe not this pregnancy but with all my future pregnancies (hubby and I want a big family, but it's ultimately God's decision) so I talk to her a bit and when she saw I was not changing my mind she did the whole guilt trip .... "well, I hope you know what you're doing. I hope you are in that LUCKY 5% that won't become sensitized during pregnancy (never heard that number before?). And I hope you know that your future pregnancies are at such a higher risk! I have never had anyone refuse this shot except for you. I don't see why you want to put your baby and future babies at risk ... but that is your decision and YOU WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH WHAT YOU DECIDE!!"
Well, I said thank you very much and went on with my appt. She also noted it in my chart that I REFUSED the shot even after the dangers were explain to me.
I need to research more but as of now, my answer is no on the 28 week shot UNLESS something happens to cause a blood mix.
I am extremely grateful for this thread. I created one myself last night, but saw this thread this morning and wanted to answer.
My thanks to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Faithfully in Christ,
AutiMama
Mom to 3 & 1 due in Sept 2008.
May the Lord bless each and everyone of you!

I have had many rhogam shots over the years (I am O negative). With my last pg, my midwife assured me that she special ordered mercury free rhogam. I had a miscarriage recently and went to the Rhogam website myself to do some research. It says right on the main page that their shots are mercury free...but you are saying that isn't true? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

Hi, I am a new member and live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have four children (son - 14 , 3 daughters 10, 5 & 3) and had one miscarriage. I am also Rh- and have had the RHO-gam injections for each of my pregnancies and after my miscarriage. My children have all developed normally and do not have any side effects from the RHO-gam (that I know of). I breastfed each of them for 1 year or longer. My son is the only one that has been diagnosed with behaviour problems which we now believe he has been misdiagnosed since my 10 year old daughter has recently been identified as being highly gifted. We are in the process of having him re-tested privately. My 5 year old daughter is reading at grade 2 level. I was browsing the internet late last night and came across this thread and was really shocked to read all these posts about negative effects you have experienced with receiving the RHO-gam shots. I never even thought twice about having the shot. I was 17 when I miscarried and the doctor told me that it was extremely important that I get the shot or else any future children I had could be at risk and I just did what I was told. After that I just automatically assumed that I was supposed to take it. The midwife would just give me an information sheet about the risks to the baby if the shot was not taken and I just went along with it never questioning anything. I guess I am one of the lucky ones that nothing happened to my kids. I came across another website yesterday which was going into detail about how women whose blood screens were not showing that they were protected against rubella even though the women were in fact immunized were given second does of the shot during pregnancy and if I recall correctly some were given the shot after birth and breastfed their children. Their children were developing normally until they were given the 15 month MMR and shortly after receiving the shot they suddenly became autistic. I was tested for immunity against rubella and was thankfully not required to get re-immunized. I now believe that no woman should receive any vaccine during pregnancy that is going to potentially harm their child. During my first pregnancy with my son I was given pennicillin for a bladder infection. I was hesitant in taking it even though my OB assured me my child would be fine. It turns out that my son was sensitized and is now highly allergic to pennicilin. No one else in my family nor my other children have this allergy. I truly think we should go with our gut instincts when it comes to our children ... cause afterall a mother does know best.

My son is now 11 and has never had a shot in his arm. (He is also one of the only kids I know who has never used antibiotics as well). I remember clearly the day I had him and the nurse at the hospital trying to guilt me into giving him a Hep Vaccine. She was so hateful and acted like I was trying to kill my son. Thank goodness I had done enough research which convinced me to not let this happen. I actually had to tell her “my son is 10 hours old and you want to put a toxin into his body which is considered a lethal dose to an adult?” She backed down and just said I was the worst mother she had ever seen and I had better be prepared for the consequences. I couldn’t wait to get out of that hospital..
My son had gone to public school in three different states and I have not had any problems with the school system. It seems that the times are changing and non-vaccinated kids are not very unusual.
I have always secretly hoped that someone would give me a problem for I am ready for the fight. For a public school to deny my child based on my religious beliefs would nothing short of poetic… I would take this to the highest court I could and imagine the exposure this topic would get!
Bottom line; don’t do anything, ESPECIALLY if it involves your health out of FEAR!! With knowledge, any fears will go away (if you are still afraid, do more research).
Each person needs to do their research themselves. If you choose to not put poison in your arm, you better be prepared and confident enough to stand up to your doctor. Do your research and whatever you decide just don’t put a needle into you or your child’s body because of fear. For now, in America, our health is about the only thing we have control over, empower your kids as well to not let anyone force them to take anything that they don’t understand (remember the fluoride treatments in school?)
I believe there will come a time when someone will knock on my door and threaten quarantine if I don’t take a vaccination. With today’s “laws” this is very probable so you have to feel strongly and have the knowledge to stand against the guilt and pressure. Educate your kids as to why you feel so strongly or they will never be able to stand against the guilt, lies and pressure themselves. Even though my son is only 11, I share with him research I learn. This way when we are stuck in our house for weeks because we didn’t take a shot; he won’t think I’m nuts, he will understand why I fight to protect his heath.
